Letter from Bishop Noonan

Men's Discipleship Conference

Live4MoreDear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

I am pleased to announce the "Live4More" Men's Discipleship conference at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church in Indialantic Florida on Saturday, April 13, 2013. It is my great hope that many will choose to attend and be filled with the joy and inspiration of the Holy Spirit.

This half day conference is designed to bring men into a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ, equip them to live in the fullness of the Catholic Faith, and inspire them to be leaders in the New Evangelization. It will feature nationally recognized speakers Peter Herbeck, Vice President and Co-Founder of Renewal Ministries, Fr. Michael Fones, the former co-Director of the Catherine of Siena Institute and singer Josh Blakesley.

This conference will provide a vision for men of all ages for how to live as disciples in a secular culture. The conference will help you to be the best man you can be and will provide wisdom for how to be a better husband, father, leader, employee and friend.

I invite you to view the brochure with all of the details, and pray you will seriously consider offering a few hours on a Saturday to cultivate your Faith in Christ!

Sincerely yours in Christ,

Most Reverend John Noonan

Bishop of Orlando

Personal tablets will be used in Middle School

HNJ Catholic School

samsungtabletAll sixth, seventh, and eighth graders will be using a Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet for all their middle school classes starting with the 2013/14 school year. It will serve several purposes and function in different ways. Students can use the tablet as an interactive, electronic textbook that can show a rotating graphic, display a glossary definition, or take notes on the same screen. Teachers can access student assignments through cloud storage as a paperless system to review, edit, and return documents. Classroom uses include word processing, note taking, writing assignments and presentations–all from the students' individual device. Each student will use their same individual tablet for all their middle school years and once they graduate from eighth grade, it's theirs to keep!
