Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
The core team met and procedures have been established for those who will help this huricane season (officially begins June 1). Please remember, if you need assistance this is what our volunteers can help you with: install/dismantle shutters, trim branches, relocate patio furniture, make phone calls, help with transportation, and after a hurricane-yard clean-up.
All sixth, seventh, and eighth graders will be using a Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet for all their middle school classes starting with the 2013/14 school year. It will serve several purposes and function in different ways. Students can use the tablet as an interactive, electronic textbook that can show a rotating graphic, display a glossary definition, or take notes on the same screen. Teachers can access student assignments through cloud storage as a paperless system to review, edit, and return documents. Classroom uses include word processing, note taking, writing assignments and presentations–all from the students' individual device. Each student will use their same individual tablet for all their middle school years and once they graduate from eighth grade, it's theirs to keep!
The HNJ RCIA program presents: Monthly Mystagogy, a regularly scheduled catechetical refresher, open to all.
