Where learning is our mission; love is our calling and faith in action is our goal.
The Holy Name of Jesus Catholic School Community is dedicated to providing students with the opportunity to develop their spiritual, academic, social and personal gifts in a safe, positive and faith-filled environment. A Blue Ribbon National School of Excellence, as recognized by the US Dept. of Education, HNJ School strives to educate our children through art, music and physical education in addition to core academics and enrichment opportunities. We offer Spanish (PK3 through grade 8), an enrichment program in Science for grades 3-5, advanced placement opportunities for Math, Spanish and Latin (beginning 2013) for students in grades 6-8 and New Page Academy (a self contained classroom with opportunities for inclusion in appropriate regular grade level classrooms for students with varying exceptionalities). Our facilities include a state-of-the-art athletic center, a quarter-mile track and sports field, computer and laptop labs, interactive whiteboard and 3D AV projection technology, iPads, 3 playgrounds and an auditorium and cafeteria shared with our parish. Additionally, our students enjoy the use of cutting-edge MimeoTM and iPadTM techology in the classrooms and well-stocked Media Center.
HNJ students consistently surpass the national averages in their IOWA standardized test scores and frequently take top honors in a wide variety of academic and athletic contests, while performing in excess of 2,000 hours of combined Christian service projects each academic year!
